On Transportation

We want our roads and bridges repaired.

We are tired of sitting in traffic. It's going to cost, but taxes for transportation need to be fair.

The distribution formula for state gas tax results in 46 cents of every dollar of gas tax being returned to the Portland region.

Businesses will need to stand behind the leaders. It's not just cars, but trucks making deliveries. I will partner with businesses to support policy that addresses congestion.

The last gas tax increase was in 1993. And that increase has long ago been eaten up by inflation.

I will go to Salem to support fair and equitable distribution of existing taxes, a local option so that taxes raised in Multnomah County will STAY in Multnomah County to repair our bridges and maintain our roads.
